kissing christmas break goodbye

christmas break is now coming to an end. coz today is the last day of it. hahaha. but thing is, this christmas (or rather last year's, since after all, it is already january) doesn't feel much like christmas. i remember when i was way younger, when the BER-months come, we would already have our christmas tree up, our house would already be filled with christmas decors, and everywhere one would hear christmas songs playing. now, christmas seems a little gloomier - maybe because of the economic crisis last year. or maybe because, as an adult (i'm turning 24 this year. yuck!) you tend to give more and receive less? come to think of it, i didn't buy any gifts except for the exchange gift/kris kringle, as well as for my inaanak. of course, it didn't help that I seem to not have any spare money to buy gifts. hehehe.
but, as we always have to remind ourselves, christmas is not about the festive atmosphere, or the gift-giving, but about the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. and it's not just christmas that we must remind ourselves of this, but everyday. so long as we have Jesus in our hearts, it's always christmas :)
