unexpected

i find myself tonight in darien, illinois, USA. i've been here for more than a week now. actually, i wasn't planning to come here. all i was looking forward to this summer is my trip to guam on may 21-25. only my brother was supposed to come on this trip to the US of A. but while my mom was talking to my aunt, she extended an invitation for me to come as well. so my mom said we'll try to get a ticket. that was thursday. the flight was two days later, on saturday. on friday, my mom told me that we'll wait until 2pm if i was going to get a ticket. if she didn't text by that time, then i wasn't going. 2pm came and went, no text from mom. so i assumed that i wasn't going. but at 3:30pm, she texted me that i got a ticket. so i hurriedly went to my dorm in makati to move my stuff to my classmate's room because my lease is going to expire while i'm here. i packed my bags that night. next day i find myself flying to seoul, korea at 1pm for my connecting flight to chicago. so now i'm here, with just a thousand dollars in pocket money, which was borrowed from two aunts (500 each). well, i was able to solicit the one hundred out of the 500 from one of my aunts. so i have 100bucks that's really mine. i'm careful not to spend so much. my goal is to spend only the money that is really mine so that i can return the 900bucks to my aunts.
